The high rollers of Northeastern U.S. cities like New York, Philadelphia and Washington have a new room in which to play high stakes in Atlantic City. The Trump Taj Mahal has opened an upscale baccarat pit and gaming parlor. I say parlor because the room has dealers in tuxedos and elegant surroundings. The Taj Mahal used Monte Carlo-inspired themes to create a room that would make a prince feel at home.

Limits are high ranging from $100 minimum to a $6000 maximum. There are 30 tables in the room, with action for blackjack, baccarat, craps and roulette. The average player in this parlor will have a bankroll of $200,000 to $500,000 to play with, and some will come in with as much as $2M.

The new room is the latest in the casino’s improvements, following last summers renovation of the penthouse suites into a posh setting for its high rollers.
